October 18th, 2014 program can be found by clicking here.

MPRC holds 3 CMP sanctioned M1FVs fundraising events per year. The M1FVs program was started in Nov. of 2005 by JJ O'Shea to place a M1 rifle in the hands of our disabled vets returning from the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Net proceeds from these matches are donated to this organization and help provide rifles and funds for some of the vets to shoot at Camp Perry each year.

All MPRC M1FVs matches are run utilizing the CMP John C. Garand Course "A" of fire. The matches are governed by CMP rules and as such there are NO ALIBIS. Cost per competitor is $20.00 and everyone is allowed to shoot at least twice for an additional $10.00 with a different rifle if so desired.

Any CMP eligible rifle is allowed including Caliber .30 M1 Garands, Caliber .30 Model 1903 Springfield series, Caliber .30 M1917 Enfield, Caliber .30 U.S. Model 1941 Johnson, U.S. Krag, U.S. Carbine Caliber .30, & any Foreign Vintage Military Rifle. AR-15's and M1As/M14s are allowed, however, they will not be eligible for awards. MPRC does have a few club loaner M1 Garands for use.

This match uses the standard SR HP Target at 200 yds.

Ammo is not provided but MPRC does have a limited supply of 30/06 and .30 carbine ammo for sale. Otherwise please bring your own ammo. Handloads are allowed.

The complete CMP rulebook can be found on the CMP website here.

Please contact Art Curow with any questions about this event.
