To keep rifle shooters active during the winter months when it is too cold to shoot outside, MPRC has a Mini-High Power Indoor Rifle League. The league consists of four indoor matches simulating an across the course 80 round high power match.
Course of Fire
All firing will be at 50 feet
Competitors will fire a 80 round simulated across the course match with 2 sighters for each stage of firing
I. 22 Shots Slow Fire Off Hand, 20 minutes, includes 2 sighters
II. Rapid Fire sitting, 60 seconds from standing, 2 strings of 10 shots
III. Rapid Fire Prone, 70 seconds from standing, 2 strings of 10 shots
IV. 22 Shots Slow Fire Prone, 20 minutes, includes 2 sighters
Each relay will shoot across the course
Notes:
Because the indoor range is limited to 50 feet, the targets are a reduced size to give the same sight picture as a 200yrd, 300yrd, and 600yrd courses of fire. To view or print the targets that are used, click here.
Rifles are limited to .22 rim fire. Any .22 rifle capable of firing 10 shots rapid fire in 60 seconds will work. An AR-15 with a Ciener .22LR conversion, or a .22LR upper is ideal.
.22LR ammunition is available for purchase.
There is a one time registration fee of $15.00 for MPRC members, $20.00 for non-members. In addition,
there is a fee for each match of $3.00 for MPRC members, $6.00 for non-members.
