CMP Sanctioned HP Clinic:

Back to the leagues page.

April 19, 2014 program can be found by clicking here.

MPRC hosts a CMP sanctioned highpower clinic once per year at our outdoor range. The purpose of the clinic is to prepare people to shoot both CMP or NRA matches without feeling completely lost at their first match. The clinic is free for MPRC members. The fee for adult non-members is $10.00 and for junior non-members only $5.00. The match following the clinic is $10.00 for all experienced shooters. The course takes about 3 hours to complete and covers topics relating to shooting a HP match for the first time. At the end of the clinic attendees will shoot a CMP sanctioned Course "B" match. This clinic will fullfill the shooting requirements to purchase a rifle through the CMP and a certificate of completion will be presented to each attendee who requests one at the end of the day.

You may bring your own rifle to use, or you may request the use of a club M1 Garand. If requesting the use of a club rifle, please contact Ed Korpi.

There will be limited amounts of 30/06 and .30 carbine ammo available for purchase, otherwise please bring your own ammo. You will need at least 50 rounds.

Rifles which are suitable include:

*U.S. Service Rifles: AR-15, M1 Garand, M14/M1A, M1917 Enfield, M1903 Springfied series, M1 Carbine.

*Other Bolt Action Rifles: Rifles with metallic sites and capacities of 5 or more rounds that can be loaded with a stripper clip or have detachable magazines (Win. Mod. 70 target, Rem. Mod. 700, or Foreign surplus bolt actions).

The course of fire can be found here.

Any questions should be directed to ED Korpi.
