I just picked up a tumbler to clean brass as a first step on getting back into reloading. It came with corn cob media, but I am wondering what everyone else uses - corn cob, walnut shell, or something else?

Thanks,

David

David, I've been using a 50/50 mix lately of walnut and corn, seems to do an ok job. The corn is a better polishing agent and I think a lot of guys will also add a polishing agent to the mix to help even more. HTH

A little late in the game obviously... and probalby with outdated information...

My dad used to use walnut only and added some sort of polishing agent... just a small capful or 2 as I recall... but that's been many years ago too.

I purchased the Frankford Arsenal polishing agent a few weeks ago available at Midway and I gotta say it works very well for me. Just make sure you follow the directions when you add it to your media and your bras will shine up very well. Oh, it's pretty darn cheap too!
