I am trying to get some Multi-gun comps going in this area (western MI) I feel that there is enough people that want this that it should be pursued, I spoke with a MRPC member at the June steel pistol match and was wondering what it would take to get this to happen.
Either 3 gun or 2 gun...I hate having to drive clear across the state to do these competitions.
Willing to help make it happen, this issue is being discussed at several other forums, and there is genuine interest.
The shoots I attend over at Centerline range of Calhoun county average 30-40 shooters every month, and they have an annual championship that is sponsored by several local companies as well as some large ones.

So....can we do this?

This message is for "Tools of the Trade." You may call me at the phone number listed on the webpage. You may get a generic welcome message on my answering machine which confuses some people. They expect it to say something like "Muskegon Pistol & Rifle Club, or my name, but it doesn't say that. So just leave a message. The best time to call is during the week around 8:30 AM. It sounds like we need you in our club. I would like to see a 2 gun shoot using .22 caliber rifle & pistol. Gary Rollenhagen (his number is one you can call) said it takes a long time to run a match involving 2 guns so we would have to come up with some way to work out any kinks. I have never shot a 2 or 3 gun match, but I'd like to try. Ed K.

Sir, you would need to come to a board meeting to sort out the details. We meet the first Monday of every month at the indoor range starting at 7pm. However, the Sept. board meeting is tonight (Sept. 06) due to the Labor Day holiday.

MPRC has run 3-gun matches in the past. I certainly agree that the interest in these types of events is high. However, we found the same people who run other matches end up being the point person(s) for these matches as well and that is too much work to put on one or two indiduals. If someone wants to step up and commit to all the work in advertising, setting up, tearing down, running the match, scoring, and all the other aspects of a match, we (the club) would support you.
